Description
Shirt with a straight silhouette, 'extended.' Sewn from three panels. The sleeve is straight with a gusset and an insert, sewn along the warp, gathered at the bottom into a narrow band. The body and inserts are gathered at the neckline into small pleats using the 'sewing to the collar' technique. The neckline is square with a slit in the center front, finished with a narrow band. The slit is hemmed with a decorative 'retyaz' stitch. The ends of the band have two loop buttonholes (for a ribbon). The shirt is decorated with geometric and geometrized floral ornaments, embroidered in 'white on white.' The insert has a narrow horizontal pattern stripe consisting of zigzag lines with semi-flowers in the recesses. It is framed on both sides by straight lines with rhythmically repeating semi-flowers. The upper part of the sleeve has a wide pattern of 'keys,' semi-diamonds, and geometrized semi-flowers. The sleeve features a scattered pattern of geometrized semi-flowers with leaves. The hem is finished with a 'bar' stitch, decorated with a pattern of semi-diamonds with minimal filling. Above this pattern is another row of stylized flowers. The hem panels are joined with a 'retyaz' stitch. Legend: Found during an expedition.
