Description
Straight-cut shirt, sewn from three panels of varying sizes. One-piece straight sleeve with a gusset, decorated at the bottom with 'pukhlyky,' on a narrow cuff. The body and upper sleeve are gathered into fine pleats using the 'sewing to the collar' technique. The neckline is round with a central front slit (30 cm long), finished with a narrow hem with two slit buttonholes at the edges. The shirt is decorated with 'white on white' floral-geometric embroidery. The shoulder area has a horizontal pattern stripe of diamonds with extensions, framed by two straight lines with attached half-flowers and combs. Above it are six separately placed flowers with branches and leaves. The sleeve field is densely embroidered with 'vyvody' – geometric flowers with stylized branches. The neckline hem is decorated with a row of 'cross-stitches' in black threads. The hem is hemmed with a 'prutyk' stitch and decorated with a wide openwork stripe (motif: a wavy branch with attached flower bouquets).
Legend: The shirt was made by Yelyzaveta Vasylivna Prykhodko.
