Description
Shirt 'to the hem' made of hemp canvas (bodice from finer, hem from coarser canvas), sewn from six parts. Straight silhouette, the sleeve is one-piece, sewn along the warp, straight, with a gusset, gathered at the bottom, on a cuff. The bodice and upper part of the sleeves are densely gathered near the neckline. The neckline is oval, with a central slit, finished with a narrow cuff. The cuffs are decorated with scalloped buttonhole loops. The shirt is embroidered with red and black threads in a floral pattern using the cross-stitch technique. On the shoulder, a narrow horizontal stripe of a pattern consists of a straight line (stem) with eight-petaled flowers and branches with small leaflets attached. Further down the sleeve, a scattering of stylized tulips with elongated stamens. The cuffs are adorned with a narrow floral pattern. The hem is decorated with white openwork with overlay, featuring a pattern of eight-petaled flowers and swastika signs. The connecting seams in the lower part of the hem are hemstitched with a 'worm' stitch (red threads).
