Description
Rushnyk made from homespun bleached canvas with woven red stripes, embroidered with red and black threads. The ornament is floral and geometric. The tiered composition includes: three bands with a wavy branch and bud, alternating with bands of openwork with a geometric ornament. At the bottom, the rushnyk is decorated with a band of stylized fringe. The rushnyk is hemmed with openwork. Provenance: Belonged to the pre-war collection of the Museum of Sloboda Ukraine named after H.S. Skovoroda.
