Description
Rushnyk decorated with red and blue embroidery. The central composition on both ends is a tree growing in a vase. Above the tree, there is a scattered pattern of floral branches with leaves. Below the tree and along the perimeter, the rushnyk is bordered with a wavy branch with flowers of various sizes and leaves, as well as a wavy line. The rushnyk is bordered along the perimeter with a zigzag line, and at the ends, with a double zigzag line forming rhombs. The edges are hemmed with an overcast stitch. Provenance: Belonged to Iryna Fedorivna Neshcheretna, a resident of the village of Kolontaivo.
