Description
Rushnyk decorated with red and blue embroidery. The composition on both ends features two small trees with roots in the corners. Around the trees and across the entire field of the rushnyk, there is a scattered pattern of 'hourglass' motifs. Below the trees and along the perimeter, the rushnyk is bordered with a zigzag line. It is hand-hemmed. Provenance: Used in Kharkiv region, part of the collection of the Museum of Sloboda Ukraine named after H.S. Skovoroda.
