Description
Women's shirt 'stanok,' made from white factory cotton fabric, embroidered with red and black threads. Straight silhouette. The sleeve has an insert sewn along the warp, long, wide, straight, with a gusset. The sleeve and insert are joined with double hemstitch and three rows of 'puffs.' The sleeve bottom is gathered into small folds and trimmed with a strip using double hemstitch. The neckline is round, gathered with pleats using the 'sewing to the collar' technique, and trimmed with a strip using double hemstitch, with elongated ends for tying. The plastron has a long slit. The shirt is decorated on the sleeves and inserts with a stylized floral ornament featuring multi-petal flowers with leaves and buds. The neckline trim is adorned with a zigzag line. Provenance: The shirt was sewn and embroidered by Karpenko Hanna Hryhorivna, a resident of Kharkiv.
