Description
Rushnyk made from three fragments of white cotton fabric, joined by two sewn openwork strips, embroidered in gray, red, and blue threads. The ornament is stylized floral and geometric. On the outer fragments, the composition is in the form of an elongated rhombus and fringe. In the middle of the rhombus is a large multi-petal flower with two branches on the sides. Above, to the right and left of the rhombus, the same flowers with small branches are embroidered. Higher up is a stylized wavy branch with small flowers and leaves. Handmade lace with a floral-geometric ornament is sewn to the edges of the rushnyk. One longitudinal side is hemmed with a machine stitch.
**Provenance:** Embroidered by Hanna Andriivna Matviychuk, who resided in Kharkiv.
