Description
Shirt made of white factory-made linen canvas. Straight silhouette, body sewn from two panels, 'extended.' The sleeve has an insert sewn along the warp, straight, heavily gathered at the bottom into a band. The body and inserts are gathered at the neck. The neckline is square ('kare') with a slit in the center, finished with a narrow band. On the right side of the band is a loop buttonhole, and on the left is a white button. The neckline and sleeve bands are decorated with teeth. The insert, sleeves, neckline, and sleeve bands are embroidered with black and yellow threads in floral and geometric ornaments using the cross-stitch technique. The insert and sleeve have two parallel horizontal pattern stripes consisting of curled branches with elongated leaves and stylized flowers attached. The insert features a scattered pattern of leaves, and the sleeves have stylized poppies with buds and leaves. The neckline and sleeve bands are decorated with a wavy line of crosses. The hem is decorated with white openwork.
