Description
Shirt with a straight silhouette, 'to the hem.' The hem is sewn from three panels, the body from one, folded crosswise. The sleeve is straight with a gusset and an insert, sewn along the warp, decorated at the top with five rows of 'puff stitches,' 19 cm long, and connected to the insert with 'horodky' openwork stitching. At the bottom, it is gathered into small pleats and finished with a 3.5 cm wide cuff, fastened with two buttonholes and buttons. The body and inserts are gathered at the neckline using the 'sewing to the collar' technique. The neckline is square with a 29 cm slit in the center front, finished with a narrow hem. The shirt is adorned with a stylized floral ornament, embroidered with black and red cotton thread in a cross-stitch pattern (insert, sleeve, cuff) and openwork with a geometric pattern embroidered with hemp threads (hem). The insert and cuff are embroidered with a matching pattern of a garland of flowers with leaves and buds. The insert embroidery is complemented by a horizontal stripe of stylized leaves. The sleeve is almost entirely decorated with a vertical composition of viburnum branches, separated by small twigs. The hem is finished with a 'single bar' stitch and decorated with a narrow openwork zigzag line.
