Description
Kersetka made of black velvet, lined with factory-produced cotton fabric. Semi-fitted silhouette, widened downward. The back is split, widened from the waist with three pleats ('mustaches'). Fastened with the right panel using hooks. The waistline on the back is decorated with a figured appliqué of the main fabric, adorned with double stitching, three small buttons, and red and green braids. The chest area on the right panel is decorated with a serrated appliqué of velvet, raspberry braid, and red and green braids. The armholes and right front are edged with the same braid and braids, and the neckline with braid.
**Legend:** Belonged to Sekletia Mykolaivna Shevelina, who lived in Kharkiv Oblast, Balakliya District, Pryshyb village, M. Ivanivka; purchased for 10 rubles during an ethnographic expedition by the Kharkiv Historical Museum staff.
