Description
Rushnyk made of homespun bleached hemp canvas, embroidered with red and black threads. The ornament is stylized floral, floral-geometric, geometric, and ornithomorphic. The ends feature a seven-tiered ornament: 1) a thin wavy branch with flowers and leaves; 2) a wavy branch with eight-petal flowers and leaves; 3) a background embroidery of a branch with large roses, berries, and leaves; 4) a wavy 'viburnum' branch; 5) a wide band with five roosters arranged in a checkerboard pattern; 6) a straight horizontal branch with downward and upward floral branches alternating with leaves. Above the tiered ornament are six rows of small rectangles, arranged in groups of five forming diagonal crosses and groups of three forming diagonal lines, alternating between rows of five crosses and six lines. The edges are finished with 'single prutik' openwork.
