Description
Rushnyk made of homespun bleached canvas, embroidered with red and black threads. The embroidery is narrative with floral, ornithomorphic, and zoomorphic ornaments. At the edges, there is an image of a two-story building with a triangular roof, five windows, and a balcony. A fence is near the building. Behind the fence, on both sides of the building, are trees with two birds in their crowns. Birds are also on the roof around the chimney. To the left and right of the building are images of dogs. Below the narrative composition is a wide band of floral ornament, consisting of two narrow lines with buds extending downward and large flowers (poppies) and leaves upward, connected by a stylized flexible branch. Above the composition are two roosters facing each other, with a separate grapevine branch between them. Higher up are two separate branches with butterflies. The rushnyk is finished with 'single prutik' openwork. The ends are hand-sewn with lace featuring a stylized floral ornament of openwork leaves.
