Description
Rushnyk made of factory-produced white fabric—calico, embroidered with red threads with accents of light green and lilac threads. The ornament is stylized floral and geometric. The ends are decorated with a vertically arranged pattern—'tree of life': a long narrow stem with three pairs of flowers with colored centers on short stems, alternating with long rounded leaves. At one edge, there are flowers in a circle of small stars. The pattern is framed on the sides and bottom by a geometric composition: a zigzag band with tassels, extended on both sides by a zigzag. The edges are hemmed with 'obmetytsia'. The ends are sewn with fringe made of metallic zari thread, possibly added later.
**Legend:** Part of the pre-war collection of the Museum of Sloboda Ukraine named after H.S. Skovoroda.
