Description
Rectangular rushnyk decorated at the edges with woven geometric ornament—three wide grouped bands woven with red threads—and embroidered with floral-geometric ornament in red and black threads: a broken branch with eight-petal flowers in the recesses. The edges of the rushnyk are hand-hemmed.
**Legend:** Belonged to Pocherina-Holoperova Anastasiia Hnativna, grandmother of Holoperova Valentyna Ivanivna. Pocherina-Holoperova Anastasiia Hnativna was born on April 14, 1893, in Tarasivka village, lived in Polyane village, Trostianets District (formerly Velyka Pysarivka), Sumy Oblast, and died in 1961.
