Description
'Bozhnyk' rushnyk of white canvas, rectangular, in the form of a long wide strip, sewn from two fragments. The rushnyk is decorated along three sides with a band of stylized floral and floral-geometric ornaments in black and red threads, embroidered in the diagonal 'cross-stitch' technique. The ornament consists of a band with a serrated border divided into squares with inscribed flowers, and small individual branches with flowers and leaves placed at intervals along the upper edge of the embroidery. The embroidery at the ends is complemented by a bouquet of flowers in a vase. The ornamental line along the rushnyk is highlighted with red factory fabric trim. The ends are decorated with white lace featuring diamond-shaped flowers and a serrated lower edge.
**Legend:** The rushnyk belonged to the peasant woman Savdetyanova Kseniia Mykhailivna. It was used to decorate icons.
