Description
Shirt with a straight silhouette, 'body' (to the waist). Sewn from three panels. The sleeve is three-quarter length with an insert sewn along the base, made from two parts, tapered at the bottom, not gathered at the bottom, decorated at the top with 'puff stitches' (9 cm long). The sleeve and insert are sewn with a double 'stem stitch.' The body and inserts are gathered at the neckline with black and red threads into small pleats using the 'sewing to the collar' technique. The neckline is round with a 25 cm slit in the center front, finished with a wide band stitched with triple 'stem stitch.' The band has two loop buttonholes at the edges. The shirt is decorated with a stylized black and red floral ornament. The insert has a garland of roses with leaves and branches (6 cm wide), underscored at the bottom by a zigzag line (0.8 cm wide). The sleeve edge is hemmed with a double column, above which is a garland of roses with branches and leaves. The neckline band has a red thread chain stitch. The underarm area is framed with a 'double column.' Legend: Made and used in the family of Skrynnyk Kateryna Oleksandrivna.
