Description
Rushnyk made of white factory-produced linen canvas. The edges are decorated with two narrow and one wide openwork band with floral (flowers, leaves) ornaments. The ends are finished with 'single prutik' openwork.
**Legend:** The rushnyk belonged to Olena Valentynivna Korotkova (maiden name Morozova), from the Kudashev noble family, known since the early 17th century. Princess Olha Yevhenivna Kudasheva (Morozova) was the daughter of Prince Yevhen Oleksandrovych, an honorary justice of the peace in the Sumy District; granddaughter of Prince Oleksandr Volodymyrovych, a major general and landowner in Khorol County, Poltava Governorate (as of 1898); and niece of Princess Yuliia Oleksandrivna, wife of Professor L.L. Hirshman; grandmother of Olena Valentynivna Korotkova.
