Description

Shirt of straight silhouette, "to the hem", sewn from six panels, body sewn from thin canvas, hem—from coarser. The sleeve is straight, one-piece, with a gusset, gathered at the bottom on a hem. The top of the sleeve and the body are finely ruffled near the neckline using the "sewing to the collar" technique. The neckline is round with a slit in the center front 37 cm long, finished with a narrow hem. The slit at the bottom is fixed with a fastener. The shirt is decorated with stylized plant, plant-geometric and geometric ornaments, executed "white on white" (sleeve, hem) using "cutwork", "stem stitch", "chicken scratch", hemstitch techniques and black and red wool (sleeve hem and hem) using "cross-stitch" and "worm" techniques. The sleeve on the shoulder is decorated with a horizontal stripe of embroidery, composed of slanted leaves, outlined above and below by straight lines with attached double leaves and "pyramids" of three "windows". The sleeve field is filled with three vertical zigzag lines with leaves (variant of "branches"). On the sleeve hem, a "chain" in black-red color is laid, embroidered with "cross-stitch". The hem is hemmed with a "single column" and decorated with a hemstitch stripe 6 cm wide, the elements of which are a flower and a sign similar to a "swastika" or Byzantine meander. Two joining seams of the hem are decorated with a garland of roses and leaves, embroidered in black and red wool with "cross-stitch", one seam decorated with black-red "worm".
