Description
Shirt of straight silhouette, "to the hem". The body of the shirt is sewn from six panels. The sleeve is straight, one-piece, with a gusset; gathered at the bottom into fine pleats and finished with a cuff 2.5 cm wide. The upper part of the sleeve and the body near the neckline are densely ruffled using the "sewing to the collar" technique. The neckline is round with a slit in the center front 26 cm long, hemmed with a narrow piping with two slit loops at the edges. The shirt is decorated with stylized plant ornament, executed in black and red wool using "cross-stitch" (sleeve, cuff) and white threads using "hemstitch" (hem), as well as geometric ornament in black and red, embroidered with "cross-stitch" (shoulder) and "worm" (hem). The sleeve on the shoulder is decorated with a horizontal stripe of ornament, the elements of which are diagonal lines with triangles, balanced by extensions on the other diagonal, and vertical columns separating the ornament elements from each other. This pattern is underlined above and below by even lines with extensions. The sleeve field is filled with scattered bouquets of three small flowers, arranged in five rows in a checkerboard pattern. The cuff is decorated with a stripe of ornament with flowers with branches and leaves. The hem is hemmed with a "single column" and decorated with a horizontal stripe of hemstitch 5 cm wide with an ornament of eight-petaled flowers. The joining seams of the panels at the hem are decorated with a zigzag line in red, outlined with a black ribbon.
