Description
Shirt of straight silhouette, "long". The body of the shirt is sewn from three panels of coarser canvas, and the sleeves—from thinner canvas. The sleeve is straight, one-piece, with a gusset, gathered at the bottom into fine pleats and finished with a hem. The upper edge of the sleeve and the body are densely ruffled near the neckline using the "sewing to the collar" technique. The neckline is round with a slit in the center front 27 cm long. The shirt is decorated with geometric ornament, embroidered "white on white" (shoulder, sleeve, hem). The shoulder is decorated with a horizontal stripe of embroidery with rhombic ornament "wrapped wedges" ("stem stitch"). The sleeve is decorated with small geometric bouquets, arranged horizontally in two rows ("stem stitch"). The hem is sewn to the front side with "backstitch" ("back needle") and decorated with a horizontal stripe of embroidery with oblique geometric oak leaves, outlined above and below with a zigzag line with extensions.
