Description
Shirt of straight silhouette, "long", the body sewn from three panels. The sleeve is straight with a gusset and cuff, sewn along the weft, gathered at the bottom on a narrow hem, decorated at the top with two rows of "puffs". The body and cuffs are densely ruffled near the neckline using the "sewing to the collar" technique. The neckline is "square" with a slit in the center front 26 cm long, finished with a hem with two slit loops at the edges. The shirt is decorated with stylized plant ornament, executed in black and red wool in the "cross-stitch" technique (cuff, sleeve) and geometric ornament in red wool using gathering technique (neckline hem) and white and black wool using "stem stitch" (hem). The cuff ornament looks like a horizontal stripe with flowers, branches, and leaves. The sleeve is decorated with scattered ornamental motifs of the same character (flowers with branches and leaves, arranged in a checkerboard pattern in three horizontal rows). The hem is hemmed with a "single column" and decorated with a horizontal stripe of embroidery with rhombic ornament. The shirt panels at the bottom hem are joined with a hemstitch seam.
